Today I got ready, whispered to my sleeping prince, "I love you Valentine," and headed out to work as the sun was rising. I had a slight headache all day, and to top it off I had a challenging day at work. Nothing too terrible, just one of those frustrating, can't figure anything out kind of days. I talked to Jason in the afternoon and he told me we were going to eat dinner at 6. That gave me something to look forward to so I could survive the day! ; )
When I got home I was greeted with a kiss and this...
A dozen beautiful & colorful roses!
A card from Mom & Dad...
Oh yeah, and Jason... he went to Jared...
He got me the heart charm I wanted for my Pandora bracelet! :)
Isn't it pretty?
I love it!!!
Dinner time....
Appetizers: GAI SATAY (Chicken on a stick with peanut sauce)
YUM YAI (Salad)
I had: KARW PAD (Thai fried rice & chicken)
Jason had: THAI CURRY (chicken curry with rice)
He got medium hot, which was pretty spicy!
♥♥♥ My Valentine:
Me ♥♥♥
After dinner we went to Sertinos by out house for dessert! :)
I chose Amazon Storm... for the record an AWESOME choice.
Jason got a brownie and topped it with coffee ice cream at home.
We hurried home so I could catch the last of the Bachelor!
Jason likes to watch it too... even though he acts like he doesn't like to watch it.
Every week I catch him watching. He loves to say "Brad's a womanizer!" and "He has a pea brain."
Tonight he confessed, "It is kind of entertaining."
:)
All in all a wonderful end to the day! I am so very blessed to have such a wonderful man. He tolerates my moods, my silly TV shows. He makes me smile, laugh and most importantly he loves me.
I love my Valentine with all my heart!
Te Amo Jason!

The history of Valentine's Day — and its patron saint — is shrouded in mystery, but this is what the History Channel has to say about it for those who are interested:
One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.
Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.
According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first "valentine" greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl — who may have been his jailor's daughter — who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed "From your Valentine," an expression that is still in use today.
