Thank goodness! I did not want to have to do that! We got cleaned up and Jason worked on the computer checking on stuff for the house and his job while I tried to feed the puppy. That poor little thing. Joel asked me if I would please feed him before he left this morning and I sat there on the floor trying to force feed him. He didn't want any of it. I would pop a chunk of food in his throat and hold his mouth shut. Then I tried everything I could to get him to swallow and he just wouldn't. Eventually I would open his mouth to put more food in and he would maneuver his tongue to get the first bite out of his mouth! I really don't know if that dog is going to make it. :(
We got packed up and hit the road again.
We drove through Memphis and crossed the Mississippi into Arkansas.

Texas disappointed me by not having a proper sign for me to photograph, so this will have to do.
| It was starting to feel just like this photo looks... ugh!!! |
| Pretty sunset though. |
Eventually we made it to big D, little a, double L, a, s! :) It was CRAZY! People drive like maniacs there! I didn't remember that before when we lived there! I mean I learned to drive in Dallas! Jason was enjoying "talking trucker" as I called it. He would put his turn signal on and the trucker would flash their lights telling him he could get over, and then he would flash his lights back as a thank you. I cracked up every time. We passed Six Flags Over Texas and drove through
Ft. Worth before stopping on the west side. We had a little spat at the gas station and he drove off before I was even in the car. I panicked thinking he was going on and not realizing he was going to the hotel behind the gas station. We were hot, tired and grouchy and that didn't help what happened next. Jason drove the truck on up around the corner trying to find a better spot to park our big rig in, because he didn't like the first one he got. I waited for a long time, before he came walking toward me. I was so ready to get into a bed and sleep! When he got closer, he said, "I screwed up!" I thought, "OH NO! He wrecked!" Luckily he didn't hit anything, but not so luckily he realized there is a dead end on the other side of the building. He had walked back there first and just assumed that it went through on the other side... WRONG! So.... I had to go back there with him and help him take the car off of the dolly, move the dolly, back the truck up to get it turned around, reattach the stupid dolly and drive the car correctly up onto the dolly. That last part took about 5 tries. I couldn't see since it was dark out and every time he would get just on the red line. Finally I was almost in tears and Jason was getting grouchy too. He told me to go get us a room, so I did. He got the truck parked and we got our overnight stuff out of the car and went up to our room! It was hot as hell in the room. NO AIR had been running and it was miserable. Jason went to get some ice and some sodas while I took a cold shower. I told Jason to do the same because it really helped. Now that we are cooled down, it's time to sleep! GOODNIGHT!
Day 2: Left Joel's house in Luray, TN at 12:30 pm (central time) arrived at the Day's Inn on west side of Ft. Worth, TX Joel's at 11:30 pm (central time) = 11 hours. Stopped for lunch at a truck stop where Jason had the buffet and I had a happy meal, & stops for gas.
