Biking & Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah

I had my first mountain biking experience in Moab.
Jason biking across the Colorado River...
He became quite a pro and hooking up the bikes on our new rack.
After a slight warm up, a couple days later we did the Bar M Loop.

 The scenery was beautiful.
I almost forgot that it was an 8 mile trail... almost. :)
I did it though!  Through 40+ mile an hour winds (which actually knocked me off my bike once), sand blowing so hard it stung your body, very sandy spots, steep hills (I had to walk 3 of them) and tumbleweed rolling around... I did it!
Celebrating with a brew!  Whew!
Now off to Red Cliffs Lodge for our 5th Anniversary! :)
Our room had a view of the Colorado River so we could watch the white water rafts go by!
A little wine tasting on our 5th Anniversary at Castle Creek Winery
on the grounds of Red Cliffs Lodge.

Hanging out with John Wayne who shot many movies here.

Nothing like a soak in the hot tub with my loving hubby
after a day of exploring the grounds.
Anniversary dinner at the Cowboy Grill.
(it was good but overpriced)

A couple of days later,
we drove home through Monument Valley...

All in all... a very awesome trip with the most special and
important person in my world who pledged his life to me 5 years ago.  :)
I hope we have many, many more together!
