Kelly Green Thumb

Friday I got some flowers to make the patio beautiful.
Alyssum
Dahlia

Petunia

Lobelia

Planting!

Jason finally got electric garden shears and attacked the rosemary bush our front!  :)
Taming the blob!  :)

Isn't it pretty?  I love these deep purple petunias because they look almost velvety!  :)
I also got some delicious Starburst Jelly Beans for my egg candy dish.
The Easter Bunny is guarding them so we don't eat too many...
Somehow I don't think he will deter us much though... they are just too good!
Saturday Jason was on call all day, so I went back and got a few more things.
A fragrant Gardenia and a Spanish Lavender!
I plan on planting these in the yard, with the Gardenia somewhere close to the patio so we can enjoy the beautiful scent.  Gardenia is one of my favorites!!
A Tropicana Rose Bush! :)
This will be my first ever rose bush.  I plan on putting it in a container I bought.
Isn't it beautiful?
I've been calling her Clara... Since my grandmother Clara LOVED roses and had lots of beautiful bushes.  She is where my mother gets her love of flowers, and my mother gave me a love for them too... so fitting I call her Clara!  I just hope I can keep her alive!!
LOOK!  Another little strawberry!! :)
It's a BEAUTIFUL DAY in the neighborhood!!!
Just wonderful, although a tad hot already.
It was 95 degrees Friday and Saturday... record breaking temps.  Wow.  This might be an awful hot summer after a record breaking cold winter.  This winter was so cold, it was the coldest in something like 110 years!!  Geesh!  Of course we were here for it... funny thing is it wasn't that bad to us!  :)  I just hope we don't melt this summer!!!
The mountains from Nogales Hwy. on my way to Walmart.
OH... and I got a surprise for Jason...
He has wanted a cactus forever!

This is a Night Blooming Cactus.
This plant is native to the Sonoran Desert and like it's name indicates, it blooms at night in the late spring, early summer.  It will have large white flowers with reddish exteriors.
Ooooh!  I can't wait!!! :)
