Sunday, February 21st was Josiah's birthday party! Josiah is my friend Alicia's son. Alicia and I know each other through the SAA and the medical school. Her late father was the founding dean of PCSOM. We loved her dad. He was the one that called Jason personally to tell him he had been accepted into the medical school. The party was at the Pikeville Presbyterian Church. It was in there gym where they had a giant blow up castle for everyone to bounce in.

It was really fun to watch the kids play in there! We enjoyed some yummy food, and I got to spend some time with all my friends.
It was really nice talking to Jo. I got to know her a little better, and I really liked that.
Josiah was such a little man, eating his cake with a fork! What one year old does that? A little genius that’s who! :)

Saturday March 6th was Claire’s first birthday! Claire is the daughter of my friend Shanna who I know through the SAA. Her husband is a first year and she is so sweet!
The theme was owls and the decor was some of the cutest I've ever seen!
This banner was made by Shanna with the help of a few SAA friends. Isn't it the cutest? I am so making one of these one day... for something!!
She also made the centerpieces for the tables! It's sand in a pot, with photos of the first year of her life growing out of the pots like flowers!
