Today was my last day at BB&T.

It was a fairly easy day. Lots of goodbyes and well wishes from clients all day! It felt so good to hear things like, “You will really be missed!” and “Sorry to see you go!” and “You have been so good to me, thank you!” :) Wow!

My three and a half years here have been good ones. I have been so lucky to have a good job with wonderful benefits and work with people whom I consider my friends. I know I complain a lot about my job... but doesn’t everyone really? Yes, there were days I would be irritated with a coworker or a client, but then there were the days I was thanked for helping or rewarded for a job well done.

I received 5 perfect score mystery shops, resulting in prizes like a throw, a journal, a jack in the box and lots of opportunity points to buy items. The items I bought over the years with my points? A new tent for Jason to use when he’s backpacking, a salad spinner, a toaster, 3 spring-form pans. I also received 4 Olympian Awards! An Olympian Award basically means I have been a top performer in my field. It was exciting and I got to eat steak at a fancy restaurant in Lexington & a little stock in BB&T. I was also asked to attend 3 breakfasts with the CEO of BB&T. Only about 25-30 people in our region are asked to attend the breakfasts and it was a real honor to be chosen. I have made some great friendships working at BB&T and will miss my girls especially! I’ll miss Linda’s sweetness, Ella’s humor, Terrah’s tricks, and Becky’s thoughtfulness.

Last Monday I went out to eat at Applebees after work with all the girls including Nicole, Andrea & her daughter Stacy, Gerrie & MATT! (Ha ha! Matt’s just one of the girls!) Nicole gave me a gift card to Hallmark, Andrea & Gerrie got me lotions, soaps and lip gloss from Bath & Body works and a pretty candle! Ella and Becky split my tab too!
Today they had a cake for me and a pizza party!
Bobby brought me a tray from Sherry's candy kitchen of strawberry & chocolate cake too! :)
I also got some goodies from my girls... A travel scrapbook set, a beautiful photo album with an “H” embroidered on the cover, a candle, refills for my Scentportable car refresher, a candle and a little plaque! I love all my gifts!

When I got home, Jason and I cracked open a bottle of champagne to celebrate! :)
Then, my sweet husband made us filets with blue cheese, steamed veggies, baked potatoes and yummy salads for dinner! I was so good!!!
After dinner he gave me a lovely card thanking me for all the support I’ve given him and all the hard work I’ve put in over the years to help us out!

Now, to bed.... and to sleep in tomorrow on the first of the month! :) Hee hee!
