It started snowing Friday night and continued through late Saturday night.
I got up early Saturday and went out to measure... 5 1/2 inches! Jason and I noticed that the neighbor had lots of birds at her feeder and felt like we needed to provide nourishment for them as well. So, joyfully he began dressing to head out into the snow. I bundled up and walked with him to check out the road. Virdict: covered, but not too bad.
The entire complex parking lot was a sheet of ice, but Jason seemed very excited to drive his car in this weather,
so we jumped in the car and headed to Lowes.
Hardly anyone was on the roads. This is 23... down to two lanes!
When we entered Lowes, the few customers there were in their warmest clothing; hunting gear, boots, gloves buying shovels and scrapers.
Apparently this is what you wear when it snows in Eastern Kentucky.
It felt kind of funny to be standing in line with our birdseed and bird feeder. :)
People were probably thinking, "City folk."
We headed home and Jason only reved his engine a few times. He was excited to try out his Weather button on his Precious.
After we got home, we took a few pictures in the snow!

Oh... and we fed the birds of course.
Mission accomplished! :)
We stayed in the rest of the day, with me running outside with a ruler to measure the snow...
6 inches,
6 1/2, 7! We got a lot! :)
We finished the evening watching The Hurt Locker, a very intense movie about a an elite Army bomb squad in Iraq durring the war.
I liked it, but it stressed me out. I even yelled at the screen at one point, and I am not usually one of those people!

Sunday we went to Bible study with Chris Bartley, who was filling in for Dr. Harris and wrapped up our seies about different religions. It was really interesting leaning about hindu, budist, islamic, and jewish faiths!
Chris gave out free copies of a religious book called Crazy Love, and I am interested in reading it.

After our worship service, we went to Bob Evans
and ordered a Homestyle Breakfast for each of us! It was so yummy!

Sunday was spent in front of our computers and the television with Jason venturing out to replace parts on Precious. While Jason was finishing up his logs and videos, I started watching my movie, Julie & Julia. My father called to let us know that there was a Dateline special on TV called Heroes of Children's Hospital. It was an hour long and showed doctors who were just starting their residency in Atlanta. It was really interesting and made me realize that Jason is going to be doing stuff like this soon! Wow! It was very intersting. After it was over, we watched part of SNL's Sports Special and then resumed the movie. I really enjoyed Julie & Julia.
It inspired me to keep up this blog and be creative!
Her apartment in the movie reminded me of my favorite blogger... Posie Gets Cozy's Alicia. I just love it! So neat! I love it when things get my creative juices flowing! :)
