Yesterday we went to Tennessee as soon as I got off of work so we could have dinner with the doctors over the residency program at ETSU. We went to Sahib's and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Mine was even surprisingly flambe. I had a sore throat though, so I couldn't fully enjoy my meal. Jason helped out by finishing mine off. :) They all seemed very nice and Dr. B the head of the program seemed very accommodating when answering all of Jason's questions. I was wondering how truthful it all was, when the wife of the assistant director of the program asked that very question and the 3rd year resident said yes, it was true. So, sounded like they really want Jason, but want him to make a good decision for himself. We'll see what we decide!?!?
Today I woke up still feeling bad. I took cold medicine last night and zonked out pretty quick. I took more this morning and started calling my friends about lunch. I called Holli who was excited to see us, and although Clay is sick, she said she would come. Sarah called and said she was on her way to the hospital. Rowan has not been doing well and she is meeting with the doctors around lunch time. She offered to get together later that evening, but I told her we would be going home in the afternoon. She was disappointed, but understood. I called Teresa and got her voicemail, so I left her the details if she wanted to show up. I called Susan, and she said she would have to call me back after she called her mom to see if she could watch the girls for her. When she called back she said she couldn't get her mom so she couldn't come. I made some small talk with her for a little bit, and then explained that I had to get off the phone so I could finish getting ready and check out of the hotel room. :( We checked out, loaded up the car and then headed across the parking lot from Red Roof to Target. I looked around, but wasn't getting my normal "Target high" since I felt bad and wasn't really up to shopping much. I bought a pair of sunglasses, since I forgot mine at home and it was actually sunny out (first time in FOREVER) and I got a cute Baby's 1st Valentine's bib for my friend who is due on Valentine's Day. Jason spent his time in Target looking in electronics and checking out the latest suitcases and bags by Swiss. We met Holli at Cootie Browns at 12:30. They were busy, but we were sat quickly. I enjoyed our visit. Jason mentioned on the way home that one thing about Holli you can always count on, she is always smiling and happy. We caught up on what has been going on with her and Clay. She said she is trying to get Clay to think about marriage. They have been together for NINE years now!! Whoa! That's crazy! She also said she was working out at Lifestyles and had a trainer there. She has lost 27 pounds! I couldn't believe it! She was real good about what she ate, ordering a chicken salad and not even finishing it. Jason and I were not as good. We splurge when we go to Cootie Brown's! I got a turkey 'n cheddar sandwich with spinach and cranberries on wheat, Cootie's spiral chips and a house salad. Jason also got a sandwich, chips and salad. We paid for Holli, but she insisted on leaving the tip. We also grabbed two mini pies to go... one Key Lime and one Raspberry Fusion. If you have never had a pie from Cootie Brown's you are missing out. They are to die for. We said our goodbyes to Holli and then topped of our trip with a stop at Bella Donna and Old Navy. I got some more makeup at Bella Donna and bumped into Misty who was working there. At Old Navy we found some great deals. Jason said he didn't really find anything at first, but I had a few tops I wanted to try on, so he went back and looked some more. I ended up with 2 tops and a sweater for a little over $15 which I used some of the remainder of my b-day gift card on, and Jason got a sweater, 2 pairs of pants and three shirts for $?? which he also used his b-day gift card on. :) After that we headed home and I slept the entire way. Told you I wasn't feeling well. When we got home we unpacked, got comfy, and watched a movie. :) Good day!
