Happy New Year!

Well... it's a little overdue, but Happy New Year! We had a wonderful holiday. Jason actually had time to spend with me (HOORAY!) so I haven't been on here in a long time!

We went to Mom & Dad's house for Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed our time with Mom & Dad. Lots of shopping, relaxing, and car hunting. The first car we looked at was not the "deal" we thought we had found. Dad convinced Jason to take a look at a car for sale in the Winston Salem area and it turned out to be AWESOME! So after some dealing and help from Dad, Jason purchased a 1999 Volvo S80.

We went back to Winston Salem to pick it up the first weekend of his Christmas Break. It is so much better than his 22 year old Volvo station wagon he has been driving forever! I am so happy for him. He loves to drive everywhere! Do you need something from the store? Any little errand... Jason will run it! =) It's so cute how he will be going out the door and when I ask him where he is going he will say he's checking on something, and then go to the car to fiddle with stuff.

Christmas on the 99.

We got back from Winston Salem, and the next weekend Joel and his girlfriend Ashley came to stay with us for a few days. It was so great to have them here and I know Jason enjoyed showing off his school and spending time with his brother. They were able to meet some of our friends too. We had Julie and Charlie over the first night for dinner, and J.K. & Ryan stopped by the second night (to drop off keys since I was going to watch their kitties)! We really enjoyed their visit!

Then it was time for Christmas! Jason & I enjoyed the day unwrapping presents at our leisure and snacking. I got an awesome Canon camera from Jason!! I LOVE IT!!

We got lots of other presents... (Mom & Dad spoiled us rotten!) After Christmas and a week of getting things done, it was time to ring in the new year!

We went to Julie & Charlie's for a steak dinner and bonfire. It was loads of fun. We stayed the night at their house so we didn't have to drive after drinking. We took our air mattress, which was really comfortable. We spent most of New Year's Day over there too. Charlie made us some awesome wraps & soup while we watched Superbad. Since New Year's Day we have been trying to get back in the swing of things. Jason is back in school, studying hard. I am back with Mac, spending lots of quality time. We have been trying for the last two months to get pregnant, but no luck yet. Jason has really come around and seems to be as hopeful as I am about having a baby. Hopefully someday soon! =) Friends have told me that it took them a while to get pregnant, so I know now that it's normal for it to take a while.
Well... it's time for me to get to bed. Early day tomorrow. That is the holiday wrap up. I'll try to be better about keeping up the blog. It's hard to keep up with a 40+ hour a week job, husband, e-mail, facebook, myspace, my shows, and a blog! Ha ha! That sounds pretty funny when I type it out! OH well! Goodnight!
