This weekend is an unusual one. I woke up around 6 am to the sound of raindrops hitting the window. Ahhhh... rain. A rare treat in the desert!
We caught this little bird enjoying a bath in the puddles this morning!
Jason made some of his Belgian Waffles...
My Dad asked if we made them with strawberries.
Yes Daddy, with stwawbwees. :)
More blooms on my little patio cactus this morning.

Dr. J had the entire weekend off. It is nice to have him home and work free for a few days.
Also,
the temperatures have dropped significantly. We were reaching the 90's
during the week, but this weekend will only make it into the 60's.
Brrrr!

Time to break out the sweaters and sweatshirts. The chill also reminded me that it's time to start thinking about Christmas shopping. Hard to believe we are well into November already! We tried to get a little shopping done.
Afterward had Tosti Verduras for dinner. Don't know what Tosti Verduras are?
It's my latest discovery of Mexican food greatness in Tucson.
They take a bag of Tostios Salsa Verde chips (which you can't seem to find at the grocery store) and cut the side open. Then they add cabbage, cucumber, carrots, jicama, fresh-squeezed lime juice, hot sauce (or as they say salsa), chamoy (a pickled plum like fruit that has a distinct savory flavor), Parmesan cheese, and sour cream and stick a fork in it!
It sounds odd, but this yummy goodness eaten right out of the bag is delicioso! :)
We finished our night with the latest James Bond flick, Skyfall,
one of the best Bond films yet.
