When the cold moves in, I pull out the
knitting needles and crochet hooks
because the desire to sit by the fire
making something out of yarn is calling me.
I have a few unfinished projects I really should complete...
my baby kimono sweater still need the sides stitched together...
My poor little elephant only has one eye sewn on.
I'm not very experienced
at knitting and crocheting, but I do enjoy it.
I think I will have to
practice these new stitches before I start a new project.
I also put the finishing touches on our Operation Christmas Child Box.
Here is what I put inside...
(above) jump rope, slinky, doodle sketch, stickers, toothbrush,
toothpaste, coloring books, small puzzle, crayons, bouncy balls, purse,
play rings, sunglasses, head bands & hair-bows.
(below) a puppy puppet, a kids book of prayers, and 3 magic towels.
I boxed it all up and then put a little bit about us on the inside of the lid.
We took the box to church this morning.
Looks like there were quite a lot.
I can't wait to see where mine ends up!
It was a beautiful day today!
We finally bought some new plates today! Yay! Our old plate set we got for our wedding, and although I loved them, they were nicked and chipped and looking a bit rough.
Here's what we ended up with...
Jason decided to make the Pioneer Woman's Corn & Cheese Chowder to warm us up.
He also made some yummy garlic bread to go with it. YUM!
