Paint and Water

Sunday the 29th, I got up and made blueberry pancakes for us for breakfast!  YUM!  We watched a movie on Netflix, took a nap, had delicious burgers & corn on the grill with an icy cold beer...
(Y-U-M-M-Y!!)
...before we watched some Dexter and enjoyed some snuggles! :)
Monday the 30th, I got to talk to my dear friend Bre on the phone for a long time.  It was so great to hear her voice.  Her call really did make my day.  While I was on the phone with her, I spied this rust colored dragonfly!
I also started turning the other orange wall in the living room brown.
 Whew!  That was a lot!
Jason got home early and worked on some stuff for work and I painted my heart out!  I had to get it all covered in at least the first coat!
Ta-da!  I did it!
To reward myself we went for a night swim.  We decided to go to the main pool and check it out.  There is a huge Olympic size pool with lanes, so Jason & I swam a few laps.

There also is a cool water park called Splash Park...
That's the huge water bucket dumping out over the play area and slides!
We soaked in the hot tub and met some older guy who we talked with a bit.
It was super relaxing and nice after a long day of painting. :)  We went home and watched some more Dexter in our cozy king size bed! :)
Today, the 31st, has been a great day!  Jason came home from work early again, but wanted to take a nap.  I talked to my friend Susan on the phone.  She was wanting to talk to Jason about a medical issue, but he was sleeping, so I talked to her.  Turns out I knew what it was, a panic attack and I talked calmly with her to get her to come out of it.  I recommended she go to her doctor tomorrow and get medication.  Jason concurred with my diagnosis when he woke up!  :)  Who needs that expensive piece of paper to practice medicine?  Ha ha!  Just kidding!!!  Jason also informed me that he discovered there is a resident spouses association here!!!  YAY!!!  I have looked at the website.  Looks like I missed all the meeting mixers, but maybe I can get in on some fun before long!  He also told me that after he met with the new program director, she told the program coordinator that Jason might be Chief Resident material!!  Wow!  What a compliment!  :D  Jason said he isn't sure he would want to put in that much work but it's still cool to hear that!
For dinner tonight I made my first ever whole chicken!  I made it in a crock pot
and Jason put it in the oven to brown the skin.  It turned out pretty good, just a little dry.  Probably from putting it in the oven.... but oh well!  What could I do?  At least I tackled my fear of cooking a whole bird... and it was edible.  :)
