Decisions Done, Purchases Made.

Today my cousin Mandy said she was wanting to take a road trip with her friend Val.  Val and I are FB & FV buddies so it would be so cool to meet her in person!  :)  Mandy is going to try to make the plans for around August 12 or so.  Whoa!  That's coming fast!  I need to get busy!  LOL

 I still need to hang pictures and finish up the guest rooms including mattress covers and putting up all my crap I have on the bed in the front bedroom.  I'm trying to get things in order still... but it's coming along.  :)  We bought a desk set tonight at Ashley from Brien.  He remembered my name and said to tell my parents hello.  He said, "What neat people."  I told him that we thought he was pretty great too. :)  {side note: when we saw Jason at Sam Levitz while looking for our desk he asked me if Mom found her glasses!  lol}  We didn't get the desk we originally wanted, it was discontinued and the floor model was sold.  Brien pointed us to another one we didn't see before that was very similar and we actually liked it better!  So we got it!  It's really pretty L-shape and we got 2 bookcases.  Good eye Brien! 

They are delivering on Saturday so Jason will be here when they come.  Thank goodness!  I am not going to be here alone and go through that nightmare again! 

 Jason also got a Kenmore grill.  They were on sale, and it will be delivered and assembled Thursday. 

I painted the orange spot today, all the way up the wall across the ceiling and down the other side.

I didn't tape it off, because I have to touch up with the golden color anyway, so I didn't see the need to tape twice.  Funny thing is, I didn't do half bad. ;)  I painted all of it, because that part was in flat and I had semi gloss.  Plus semi-gloss is easier to clean, and they had painted the ceiling with some WHITE paint, that wasn't quite the right white in a spot, so that looks good now and doesn't drive me crazy anymore!  I was getting specs of paint all over me, but luckily my friend Pat helped me out through FB and told me to slow down. Going, going....

GONE!  :)  Looks much better.  The second coat I didn't get quite as messy, but that darn ceiling made me look like I had white freckles!!  At least that part is done.  I can't wait to get the rest of these rooms painted!!

Today was Jason's first day on inpatient psych.  He said it is better than ER psych.  I kind of thought he was going to say that though.  ER psych was "baptism by fire" to quote Jason.  He got off earlier today, so hopefully this will be a good month... I think next month is night float.  UGH!  I DREAD THAT!!  Right now I need to try to just enjoy the moment while he is on something good!  :)  I'm staying up late tonight watching Forensic Files while my sweet prince sleeps.  Sweet dreams! :)
