Haircut!

A week ago I decided to do something drastic!  I had Terrah take me to her mommy's salon and got my hair cut!  :)  It was crazy long as you can see...

I had enough of trying to do something with it, only to have it look long & stringy.  

I was starting to wear it up all the time, and really had been wanting to try something different for a while.  I kept talking about it at work over and over until Terrah finally said, “That’s it! I’m taking you to my mom!”  I wanted to do it while Jason was away so I could surprise him with it.  So I looked online for a cut I liked.  I found one of Jessica Simpson that I liked, and took it with me to show her mom.  After work we drove to the gas station at the end of Chloe where I left my car and got in Terrah’s.  I rode with her because you have to go way into a hollow (aka “holler”).  You see, hollows have a road in to them, often narrow and clinging because they follow the side of the hill or float alongside a creek bed.  This particular one follows a creek that I certainly would have ended up in if I had drove myself!  Apparently there are rules to driving on said road too!  I can’t remember now, but it very narrow, so one way yields to another way and you always smile and wave when you pass someone.   I wish I would have thought to bring my camera... but I did not. **sigh**  When we got there, I showed Terrah’s mom, Vanessa the picture I had and she said that it was called a Blondie.  I said you are talking about the cut not the color ...right?  :)  Ha ha!  She said yes.  So, I sat down and she washed my hair and started to cut!  I could feel some layers being cut pretty short.  I have to confess I felt a little rush of panic for a minute, but tried my best to appear calm and let her do what she does.  I totally trust Vanessa.  She has good hair and so does Terrah.  :)  

The end result?  

I am so happy with it!  It feels great too!  She taught me how to dry it and style it by teasing, spraying and flat ironing.  I can’t wait to show Jason tomorrow!!  :)  He has no idea!  I told him I was going to Terrah’s house after work so if he called he wouldn’t wonder where I was!  :)  Yeah, I stretched the truth a bit... but Vanessa’s salon is right next door to her house where Terrah used to live!  LOL
