Ten random things about me...

I got this crazy thing from two of my friends: Chrissie & Addison. They "tagged" me in this little myspace posting game. I finally sat down and came up with my 10 things...

Here's how you play: Once you've been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random, facts, habits or goals about yourself , at the end choose 10 (or more) people to be tagged, list their names and why you tagged them. Don't forget to leave them a comment saying "You're It!" and to go read your blog. You can not tag the person that tagged you so since you can't tag me back let me know when you are done so that I can go read YOUR blog answers!

1. I used to play piano and soccer when I was a little kid and can’t do either one today. I used to play beautiful songs on the piano and now can’t even remember how to do “chopsticks” correctly. Also, I am clumsy and very uncoordinated at sports. As my husband likes to tease me, “You hurt yourself walking through the house”. I can dance pretty good... or at least have been told I do, but sports... nope... forget it.
2. I love my morning coffee. I can’t function without it. I hardly ever drink caffeine, usually juice, milk, water, tea, and occasionally a sprite or sierra mist... but I MUST have the cup of coffee in the morning. I like lots of sugar and flavored cream in it too... YUM!! If I haven’t had my coffee, don’t try to carry on a intellectual conversation with me, or tease me... things could get ugly.
3. I enjoy cooking and want to open my own Cafe someday. My husband also has a love of cooking. Back before medical school when he actually had a life outside of books, we loved to cook together. Everyone enjoys our dishes we’ve created. Being in a small town with boring taste buds & narrow minds when it comes to food makes creating something delicious even more fun. Someday we will have a big house with a large kitchen... and maybe our own Cafe! I already have a list of dishes I want on the menu and a name for our place picked out... but that’s a secret.
4. Bargain hunting gives me a high! I love shopping. I don’t necessarily have to have something, but if I am getting a deal on it, I want it. I used to go to Target and hit every end-cap (the stuff on the end of an aisle) because that is where the clearance stuff was. I had a certain path I took through the store when I was going just to bargain hunt. Target is my FAVORITE to find deals, but now I live in a town without a Target in it. Probably a good thing or we would be even poorer than we already are! Ya know... I know where the clearance racks are at almost every store I shop at.
5. I own lots of candles. I love the way they smell, the glow they give off. Lighting my candles relaxes me. My favorite candles are Yankee Candles, because they smell wonderful. Those have been a favorite for years! I also love the ones with nature things in the sides. They glow when you light them and you can see the flowers or leaves... so pretty. Then I have some that are very artsy and egg shapped. They glow when you light them too and show the pattern so beautiful. I have more candles than I can burn, but when I’m at the store and I see one that I love... I have to buy it.
6. I collect shot glasses from places I’ve been. I have them from all over... NFL games, Grandfather Mountain, Indy 500, Colorado, my Bachelorette party, Costa Rica... lots of them! The funny thing is I don’t even like doing shots. The day I bought my Dollywood glass, my friends made me do a shot out of it later that night. They had a good point... “You’ve gotta drink out of it after you buy it”. Well... it seemed like good rational at the time... then the next morning came!
7. I love my iMac. My husband jokingly says I am having an affair with Mac. I can spend an entire weekend on it... and then wonder where all that time went. I enjoy the huge screen, and the ease of all the features. iPhoto, pages, iTunes, mail, the dictionary... oh my! I am in love with this thing. I also have a Facebook, Myspace, and Blogger page. It’s a lot to keep up with, but I stay in touch with all my friends through the first two, and use Blogger to journal our life as we experience these crazy things called med school & marriage. I tell my husband he should be happy I’ve found something to keep me occupied while he is so busy with school and his studies!
8. I also enjoy reading other peoples blogs. I especially enjoy blogs by women who are creative, as I am a creative person too. I love to read about their crafts they create and sell, the stuff they do with their children, and the yummy dishes they create. I really enjoy the pictures they post. I get inspired by the visuals! I think it’s so cool when I read about these women that are able to make it selling their wares. I don’t know how they do it. I always think knitting a toy, crafting cards, painting pottery takes so long... how could anyone make a living out of this? ...somehow they do!
9. I have road rage. Yes, I am that girl... the crazy one who is yelling at you for cutting her off. I used to be the one flipping you off and really giving you a chunk of my mind, but I am trying to be better. Now I just mutter stuff under my breath or say things in my car with the windows rolled up. Jason always tells me not to sink to their level, grow up and be the bigger person. Usually I can, but sometimes I lapse into my old ways. It does help that we now live in a small town with a short commute and no traffic jams. I think about the days sitting in my hot car with no air conditioning in Florida stuck in a traffic jam for hours. I sure don’t miss that! I still have to run my mouth when someone pisses me off behind the wheel... but I’m trying to be better ~ really I am.
10. I haven’t washed my car in 2 years! Oh my gosh! I can’t believe I just admitted that. HA! I really haven’t. To be honest, I didn’t know where a car wash was in the town we moved to here in Kentucky, and we live in an apartment without a place to hook up a hose and scrub-a-dub-dub. It just wasn’t really a priority for me. Then they opened a car wash, that I pass everytime I got to WalMart. Whenever my car gets real dirty and I think I need to get to the car wash. Then it rains, then I think, “Well, it’s clean now!” I keep the inside clean, it’s just the outside. I’m really not a dirty person, and my house is clean... it’s my car. I don’t know why!
