Jason is doing better today. Yesterday was a rough day for him, with the gross anatomy exam ( a toughie) and physically being so run down. I felt so bad for him being all stuffy and getting hardly any sleep. He came back from the gross anatomy exam and said, "I think I should just quit!" He looked totally disgusted and my heart dropped. Then he said, "Just kidding!" I could have killed him! He scared the crap out of me. He thinks he did well. He said he may have gotten an A or a B! We won't know how he did on the exams until Wednesday though. We went and ate at El Azul (the Mexican restaurant) to celebrate his completing the first exam day, and to get him some spicy food to hopefully clear out his sinuses. It must have worked, because he is feeling better. He also got a much better night's sleep last night. It probably helped having only one more day of exams left and knowing he had a 3 day weekend coming up. Hopefully he will come home as confident today.
I went to the knitting thing last night. It was really fun. It was good to get out and hang out with the girls again. I also found that I really enjoy knitting, and I'm not half bad at it! I am making a scarf. I guess that is what most beginners make, since it is the easiest. I have only attempted a knit stitch. I will tackle a pearl stitch on my next project, but I didn't want to screw anything up or get frustrated with my scarf. I have already knitted about 7 inches, so hopefully I will have it done in no time! I found that I can do it while I watch TV. Some of the girls that had already knitted before this lesson were saying they thought they might be good enough to watch TV while they do it now... so maybe I am a natural! :) The girl that was teaching us, Naomi said that my stitches looked really good and consistent, and since some of the girls around me were really struggling, I think that maybe I have found yet another crafty thing I am good at. I am so glad I learned how to do it. I always wished I would have been able to have Grandma Christy teach me that, and regretted that she isn't around to teach me now. So I think it's really cool that I got to learn! I just wonder if I get involved in scrapbooking and other projects if I will be able to keep everything up. Here's a picture of my progress so far. What do you think?
Well... it's another dreary rainy day here today. It has rained so much here I wonder if I am in Pikeville or Seattle! UGH! I am over it! Hopefully it will get nicer this weekend, but I guess it doesn't really matter, since we aren't planning on doing much this weekend anyway. We may kitty sit for JK and Ryan, and Jason just wants to take it easy. We will probably go see the movie Talladega Nights with Will Farrell, and rent some DVD's.
Okay... going off to knit for a while and watch some TV, since Jason will be home soon to study for his next exam today. Hope you are having a good day! Enjoy your weekend! I will be hogging up every ounce of my hubby's time since I have to take it when I get it... so I may not be on here too much.
