This month call has been different for my husband.
Normally he would have to be in house meaning he would have to
actually be at the hospital for his entire call shift.
Child psych is different.
For these 2 months he takes call from home, which is nice for a change.
I like having him home with me.
The only down side is that one weekend each month he is
on call from 7 am Saturday morning until 7 am Monday morning! Ugh!
The pager is also very extremely loud!
It's not just a simple beep, it's a whole crazy melody!
It went off once on Saturday around noon, a parent calling about their child.
He was able to handle that one over the phone.
The page at 8:30 that night though had him packing his bag and heading to the hospital.
He was gone about 3 hours and by the time he got home it was bedtime.
Of course he was able to stay awake a while
to play CODMW3 & his new video game, Skyrim. ;)
